What I do
LVT flooring and panelling are my main focus, alongside tiling, finishing work and the jobs on your to-do list. Not sure if your job fits? Just ask.
LVT flooring
Luxury vinyl tile (LVT) is tough, water resistant and warm underfoot, which makes it a great choice for kitchens, hallways, bathrooms and busy family rooms. A floor is only as good as what's underneath it, so I put the time into the preparation.
- Taking up your old flooring
- Checking and preparing the subfloor so the new floor sits flat
- Fitting LVT planks or tiles, cut neatly around doors, pipes and corners
- Finishing at doorways with the right thresholds and trims
- Happy to talk through options if you haven't picked a floor yet
Panelling and media walls
Panelling is one of the quickest ways to give a room character, whether it's a hallway, bedroom feature wall or along the stairs. Media walls give your TV, fire and storage a proper built-in home.
- Shaker, wainscot and slat-style wall panelling
- Stairway and hallway panelling
- Media walls with recesses for a TV, fire, shelves or lighting
- Filled, caulked and painted, ready to enjoy
I don't do electrical work. If your media wall needs new sockets or wiring, I'll plan around it and let you know upfront so you can book a qualified electrician.
Bathroom tiling
Good tiling is all about the prep and the setting out: getting the layout right so you don't end up with thin slivers in the corners. That's where I take my time.
- Removing old tiles and preparing the walls and floors
- Wall and floor tiling
- Straight, even grout lines and neat cuts around fittings
- Silicone sealing to finish
Skirting and interior finishing
The finishing joinery is what makes a room look complete. It's also where rushed work shows the most.
- New skirting boards and architrave
- Replacing damaged or dated skirting
- Room refreshes that combine flooring, panelling and decorating
Decorating and painting
Painting is mostly preparation: filling, sanding and protecting your home before a drop of paint goes on.
- Walls and ceilings
- Doors, skirting and other woodwork
- Filling, sanding and preparation
- Furniture and floors covered and protected
Loft boarding
Turn your loft into usable storage space with a solid, boarded floor.
- Boarding loft areas for storage
- We'll talk through the best way to board without squashing your insulation
Flat pack and handyman jobs
The jobs that have been on the list for months. If it's small, it's still worth asking.
- Flat pack furniture assembly
- Shelves, curtain poles and blinds
- Wall mounting TVs, mirrors and pictures
- Small repairs around the house
Driveway and garden repairs
Block paving sinks and blocks crack over time. I can lift and relay the problem areas so the drive is level and safe again.
- Relaying sunken or uneven block paving
- Replacing cracked or broken blocks
- Smaller garden jobs: ask and I'll tell you honestly if it's something I can do
I do repairs only. I'm not taking on full new driveways.
